Sudan protestors: Execute teacher - CNN.com
Now these peaceful Muslims are protesting that this woman should be executed. Expect the usual peaceful Muslim demonstrations of rioting, throwing rocks, setting things on fire and spewing hatred.
I hope Vermont Teddy Bear comes out with the Muhammad Bear before next Ramadan!

'Teddy' teacher jailed in Sudan - CNN.com
KHARTOUM, Sudan (CNN) -- A Sudanese court found a British teacher guilty of inciting religious hatred and sentenced her to 15 days imprisonment Thursday for allowing a teddy bear to be named "Mohammed," British authorities and her lawyer reported.
Those peaceful people could have also given her 40 lashes and a YEAR in prison. That's right, 40 lashes for "allowing" 7 year old kids to name a teddy bear "Mohammed". Their prophet would be so pleased, eh?

I was physched to see my friend kick off the CNN/YouTube Republican debate with his "GOP Debate Song". The candidates seemed to enjoy it, and it was surreal seeing him on my TV. Way to go man!
But, the cherry on top was that he told me Chuck Norris was sitting in front of him at the debate, and Chuck spoke to him! What an experience that must have been. Next thing we'll know is he'll be touring with Tenacious D ;-)

This is from my new local Asian buffet (which is awesome, BTW). I knew Asian folks have a problem with their R's, but didn't know about their "are"'s!
I keep forgetting to take a photo of their "Hot Buttered Bum" label for one of their dim sum dishes. Maybe next time.

Why is it that many places don't put the cart return corral next to the handicap parking? I think 8 out of 10 times I'm at a store, I see carts around the handicap spots because the corral is about 40 feet away. You can't expect a handicap person to walk that to return a cart, and I guess if they could then they don't really deserve to be in the handicap spot.
Oh, and people, stop being so damn lazy and just put your cart in a corral.

Remember when a website was made up of THE WEBSITE?? I remember that when something was slow, it was because of a large image, not that it's connecting to 10 different remote services to track my usage, serve ads, track clicks, display images, load (usually unneeded) Flash and generally do things to slow down a page load.

Probably one of the funniest non-spoof ads I've seen from a candidate in a while. Not to mention.. Chuck Norris!

Making plans to go see Alan in NYC in a few weeks for a weekend. Totally psyched. Got a day off from work, got someone to watch Kyla for me, so only need to go get the train tickets.

Kyla did awesome last night at her belt test. Her taegeuk 6 was perfect (twice), great techniques, and she did awesome at sparring, as always. She sparred a boy, who has to have about 30 pounds on her. If they were doing points, she would have won (they just spar during a test, no "winner" or "loser").
So, as of tomorrow, she she be a Purple Belt.

Spitzer Drops Bid to Offer Licenses More Widely - New York Times
Good. This was a stupid idea. Why you'd give anything like this (which is a gov't issued ID and we all know what pays for these things.. taxes) to illegals was beyond me.

E! News - Writers Ready to Walk
Well paid people who don't have original ideas are ready to strike unless they get more money. It'd be good if they could choose the writers to pay more... since only a few shows actually have good writing. The rest could be replaced by a room full of monkeys with typewriters.
