Al-Maliki: US must not arm Iraqi clans - Middle East

Exactly when in history has arming anyone does the US any good? Anyone we try to help with arms or support ends up fighting us as some point (Saddam, Afghanistan, a few places in South America, etc..). Someone should develop "perishable" arms. After 1 year, they self-destruct.
