Al Jazeera English - Afghan soldiers die in bomb attack

Not much new in this article. Guys with towels on their heads blow stuff up, kiss their camels and begin everything they say with "God willing...". But, the subtle lie/propaganda was interesting:

Dadullah [Taliban military official] said in the interview on Wednesday that Bin Laden planned and supervised the "suicide" operation which targeted Dick Cheney, the US vice-president, in Bargam air force base during his visit to Afghanistan on February 27.

Wasn't Cheney's visit that day a "surprise"? Let's even assume it wasn't, and say it was publicized for a week in advance. I find it highly unlikely bin Laden planned and supervised the operation above and beyond what would be more than the likely standing order of "blow up any American politician". It's a shame Al Jazeera didn't refute this, since all the Taliban supporters will think this impossibility is true.
