Pointing the blame

Oklahoma city threatens to call FBI over 'renegade' Linux maker | The Register

City Manager with "22 years in computer systems engineering and operation" threatens OS maker that he will call the FBI because they hacked his webserver.
Their homepage was displaying the standard Apache "you're website is running" boilerplate page.
The man with "22 years in computer systems engineering and operation" thinks this is the OS makers hacking his site (with a web page saying how to "fix" the problem).
The man with '22 years in computer systems engineering and operation" finally contacts his hosting provider.
Hosting provider says it is indeed their problem.
Man with "22 years in computer systems engineering and operation" tells OS maker that they should have helped fix the problem, they didn't cause, sooner.

This is the man with "22 years in computer systems engineering and operation" .. and here is the website (still not fixed, as of this writing).

Funny stuff. I always liked it when people whose engineering experiece was on punch cards and FoxPro from 30 years ago always know the heart of a problem dealing with technology they wish people thought they understood. Or, even worse, they actually think THEY understand.
