Today there was an "Agent Open House" here for 2 hours. So, I had to make myself scarce. I took Jazzy with me to the Bog Meadow Trail for a hike. The weather was perfect, and even better for a hike. There is a large pond along the trail, and there were many geese and ducks in it. Also, the beavers seemed to be very active judging by the dams and trees they took down, and were in the process of taking down.

Jazzy was also great, and loved smelling all the.. well, whatever the heck she can smell. We ended up hiking about 2.5 miles or so, and was the perfect amount of time.

Tonight Kyla had, at her school, something called 'Authors Night'. The second graders made books on topics (all animals, I think) which they were interested in. They wrote, colored and bound the books. Tonight, they read them aloud and it was pretty fun. Kyla did a great job, of course :-)
