Here is something about the show which bothers me. This is a plausable scene based on every season:

- Jack is sweating..

- Jack is slowly trying to remove the detonator from a weapon filled with an agent which will kill hundreds of thousands..

BEEP BOOP BEEP BOOP

- We see the timer, counting down

BEEP BOOP BEEP BOOP

- Jacks phone rings

Jack: Bauer here.

Audrey: Hi Jack

Jack: Hi Audrey

- Timer on explosive still counting down

BEEP BOOP BEEP BOOP

Audrey: Jack, do you love me?

Jack: This really isn't the time.

Audrey: But, I can't stop thinking about it. I've been just doing a half-assed job here at CTU because I need to know if you love me.

- Jack sighs as he keeps working on the explosive

Jack: I know Audrey, this isn't fair to you.

Audrey: No, maybe I'm not being fair to you. You know my feelings, but I just don't know yours. I'd really like for us to work all this out and...

- Gun shot heard

- A hand is seen picking up a dropped cell phone

Edgar: Jack, it's Edgar.

Jack: Hi Edgar.. what just happened.

Edgar: I saved the world by shooting this annoying bitch.

Jack: Thank you.
