Lot on hold

Ugh.. so we put a lot on hold for a house. It's in the new section of our neighborhood. I really didn't want to do it this quick, but next week the prices are going up. By doing the hold now, we can keep the lower price AND still get out of it within 10 days if we change our mind or it just gets too expensive. Of course, we chose a "premium" lot on a cul-de-sac waaaaay in the backest of back parts.

Now they will call us and tell us a number based on the upgrades we know we want to do. Then, we either scale back, move ahead, or back out. All should really be ok as long as we sell our current house for top dollar. All the money we get would go right into the new house, of course. My hopes is that my monthly payment will only go up a few hundred. And, if something happens and we can't keep the house in a year, we should be able to sell it... again for a profit, then scale backwards again.

Well, everything is a risk and so far we've made decent ones. Hopefully, this one works out. Stay tuned!
