Rock Star: INXS

Not sure if anyone has been watching this show or not. I've been somewhat forced to, since Suzy likes it. Personally, there is probably something on TLC or Discovery I'd rather be watching.

An oddity of the show is that they sort of have 2 hosts. Brooke Burke (daddy likes), and David "abnormally large head" Navarro. Somehow, Dave was chosen to critique the contentants and Brooke is basically, well, she's there to look hot.

I'm sort of wondering where the idea of this show came from. I mean, I loved INXS as a kid, but they really aren't a top-notch super band. They have about 8 songs, at most, people may know by heart. I've never met anyone who is "in to" INXS, since 1984 when The Swing was released. Plus, I'm not really sure INXS was ever as good of a band as Michael Hutchence was a front man. It's kind of like Culture Club looking for a new lead singer. It's just not the same.

I will say it's nice being reminded that I do like INXS, and hearning the songs again is nice. But, I don't think I'd be going out of my way to see them on their next tour, which I assume is the main reason for the show (ka-ching). But, if they were at SPAC, I'd go. If Brooke was there, I'd certainly go!
