I've done a lot of programming in various languages, including PERL; PERL is in fact one of my favorites however I've taken an interest in Python recently because I've read a lot of good things about it and like its very clean syntax. What do you feel are Python's shortcomings and how does PERL address these shortcomings better than Python does. I'm not trying to start any kind of a flame war or debate, I just want to hear your opinion because I know that you're well regarded in the PERL community and factor that into my decision regarding persuing developing Python skills.
