This weekend we went to a home show in Saratoga. Was pretty good. We have some people who will do estimates on landscaping, a patio/deck, installing a plasma above the fireplace and the basement. There is an Owens Corning product for basement finishing. I have seen the commercial and was interested, but they were at the show. This stuff is cool. It's soundproof, washable, insulated, and only takes about a week for them to install. It includes a drop ceiling and lighting. It's almost like how they make temporary offices and cubicles in an office, but better. They said it's about 25% more expensive than sheet-rock. I'll get an estimate and see how much it is for the basement.
Speaking of the basement, there has been no more flooding yet. The people also haven't come out yet to snake the pipe. I hope they show up today as I'd like to know what's wrong with the pipe.
We had the living room painted. If you know where my photo site is, you can see some photos on there. One of the guys who came over with the guys looking at the pipe last week was a painter. He's been painting for over 20 years and seems to be well known. He's also very reasonably priced. So, I had him paint the living room on Sunday. It looks fabulous! We also rearranged the sofas a little and it looks so much better in here. This was also the first time we painted a ceiling, and I really like it. I painted the ceiling in the breakfast nook, but never a "real" room. Looks great on the cathedral ceilings.
I guess that's it for now.
