It amazed me that Iraqis get pissed that democratic elections may not happen as soon as first thought. These are the same people who have been oppressed for decades, and WILL have elections. Be happy your mothers aren't being raped and uncles aren't dissapearing for re-education and live with a few extra months before elections in a counrty which will be run by warlords and religious sects anyways. Stop your whining, you didn't complain for 30 years as much as you have in the past year.

How quickly decades of living in fear and tyrany are forgotten and trusting the guidence and opinions of countries who have been free for longer than most of Iraqis have been alive isn't good enough.

"Delaying elections is not acceptable," Imam Kadhim al Salehy said. "It's possible to prepare the proper conditions for elections now if the Iraqi people can provide security."

Oh yes, how they secured the police station that was blown up. And secure the school a bomb was exploded in. The Iraqi people suck at security right now. Have patience and learn to crawl before you run.
