"Judge Rules Against Pledge of Allegiance"

The judge said:

You can't compel a citizen of the United States to recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

Exactly. Wouldn't that be.. well.. un-American to do?

Not that I care but...

I don't know what the big deal is... is there actually some concern over some teenagers NOT being allies of the United States? Is the idea that some punk-ass-little-snot-faced-kid wants to "be different", or assert his/her independence, by doing something as petty as NOT participating in the recital of a canned reaffirmation of ones unswerving and steadfast loyalty to the U.S. that major of an issue that we need to dump dollars, or even worse, precious time into formulating some sort of official declaration of moral and ethical right, which will never placate the masses, and ultimately will serve as a wretched reminder of how often we expend valuable resources on the many ignoble and embarassing travesties of the American life style.

But I don't really care.

It's because the pledge says "under God" :-) Even if it didn't, kids shouldn't be forced to do anything in school aside learn. And launder money.. there should be more money laundering in the schools.

I don't believe in God. I still recite the Pledge of Allegiance whenever the time calls for it. God has nothing to do with it. It's about being supportive of our country, the country all of us are lucky enough to live in. If people don't like it, they can get the fuck out. They can go live in some 3rd world shithole and see how it is there. They'd beg to come back and beg to spout off whatever patriotic song they could think of.
