Let me axe you somethin..

Listen people, it is "asked", not "axed"... "ask" not "axe". You didn't "axed" someone a question, you "asked" them.

Do people out there correct this type of "ghetto talk" when they hear it? When people talk like this I just assume they are stupid and illiterate.

I love your website because common everyday things irritate me too and it must feel very good to be able to rant to a worldwide audience. However, in response to this particular rambling, yes it is irritating when someone comes and offers to "axe" you a question. I am assuming that you are somewhere in the south because everyone north of the mason dixon line speaks perfect proper english. Right? Oh "my bad," I live in Memphis, TN and the alternative is that instead of "axing you a question" they offer to "AST" you one in an effort to pronounce it correctly. Which is worst? Stop making blanket generalizations, not all people who "act ghetto" are uneducated." Some people seem to think "ghetto" is in and want to jump on that bandwagon versus the assimilate into mainstream "white america" bandwagon. Lighten up.

They may not all be illiterate but they certainly are stupid if they want to jump on that bandwagon.
